This was a deck rebuild for an old rotten deck. We used tight knot cedar Cascadia brand 2×6 S4S decking and had it pre-stained in Oxford brown. One unique feature of this deck was that the deck itself was higher than the door out to the deck. We built it this way so that the customer could get some useable space underneath the deck. Because the second story was relatively low, we had to raise the main deck level up. We also installed Timbertech’s Dryspace system underneath the deck to create a dry space under there. The result was a beautiful deck and extra dry space to store things or to use as a hang out area in the winter months. This customer was very happy!
