Deckorators Voyage Khaya Double Deck Resurfacing

Happy Valley – This project demonstrates the value of deck resurfacing. By removing the old boards and utilizing the existing frame, we modernized this dual-level space with Deckorators Voyage mineral-based composite decking in “Khaya.” Unlike traditional wood composites, this mineral-based technology offers superior dimensional stability, meaning the boards experience virtually no expansion or contraction during temperature swings. This allows for tighter gaps and cleaner miters that stay beautiful year-round.  We updated the perimeter with a black Deckorators ALX aluminum picket railing and added a matching 1×6 Deckorators Khaya drink rail. This combination provides a sleek, low-maintenance finish while creating a functional flat surface for entertaining. The result is a clean, sophisticated retreat that maximizes the home’s footprint without the cost of a full structural rebuild.
