Fijian mahogany deck

This project used Fijian mahogany, pre-stained in natural color Messmer’s UV plus hardwood formula stain. The great thing about Fijian mahogany besides its good looks, relative low price compared to other hardwoods, and durability, is the fact that is is sustainable. Fiji planted acres of it after WWII and is just now harvesting it. It is not coming out of the rainforest in South America, so that is a good thing. The railing is Trex Reveal aluminum infill with Transcend composite posts in vintage lantern color.
