Ipe deck for a Japanese garden

We installed this ipe deck with a picture frame border for a customer’s Japanese garden themed back yard. Notice the corners of the picture frame, this method is called, “butt and pass” rather than a more traditional mitered corner. It looks really nice and matches the theme.
