Ipe deck with Stainless steel cable rail

This is a very classy deck built with ipe decking and using a Hansen aluminum railing system that features stainless steel cables and an ipe 2×4 top cap. This deck was designed to be free standing since the door comes off a cantilevered floor and it was also designed to last forever. The aluminum and stainless steel will never rust. The ipe, which we had pre-stained on all four sides, will also last a lifetime if properly maintained.  We even wrapped the ends of the boards that come in contact with galvanized fasteners with Vycor flashing to prevent the chemicals in the pressure treated wood from corroding the metal hangars. We built this deck to last and the customer appreciated the extra effort.
