Japanese style horizontal fence

This is a cedar fence with the boards running horizontally for a more Japanese look. We use pressure treated posts, 3/4″ western red cedar, and a cedar 2×6 top cap to protect the tops of the posts. The customer had this to say, “The fence looks insane! Nice job. we love it.” This fence was installed for more privacy as the owner wanted to sell the house and the view of the neighbor’s yards were not a big selling point. It was a big improvement.
