These decks were attached to two houses that were built about six years earlier. They were designed and built by the same architect and as such were both in need of their third staining. Most decks need stained every year in Portland if you want to keep them looking nice, as the amount of rain we get wears stains out quickly. We also repainted the railings, re-stained one front door, and stripped and re-stained a garden bench. The end result was several decks that looked good as new!
