When we are bidding we often get questions about the hardware we use or what the back side of a fence looks like when using pressure treated lumber for the structural components. We often use pressure treated 2x4s for the rails of a fence because they last longer than cedar or fir and are also less expensive than cedar, so I included a picture of the back side of this picture frame fence and a picture of the no sag gate hardware we use for reference. I also showed a close up of the heavy duty gate latches we like to use. The fence itself is a standard picture frame fence stained in the natural cedar color with Messmer’s UV plus stain.
