This is a very nice second story deck we built. It is built with the most maintenance free, longest lasting, and most scratch resistant decking material available, pure PVC. We recommend Timbertech for any composite deck project and this particular deck is built with Timbertech River rock XLM decking. XLM is Timbertech’s name for their PVC decking, it has a hard outer shell and comes grooved on the edges for using hidden fasteners. The railing on this deck is the Timbertech Builderail, it uses a composite Builder board and top cap and galvanized powder coated steel balusters. The final result matched not only the vinyl siding of the home but also the customer’s existing patio furniture. This is a deck that will last for decades to come.
