Trex Deck with Deckorators Outdoor Kitchen Privacy Screen

Lake Oswego – This deck project was designed to create a more functional and private outdoor living and dining space while improving the flow between the home, deck, and existing paver patio. One of the key features of the project is a newly enclosed area for an outdoor kitchen, giving the homeowners a dedicated space for grilling, cooking, and entertaining.  To define the outdoor kitchen area, we installed a Deckorators Privacy Screen. The screen creates separation and privacy without making the deck feel closed off, while also adding a clean architectural detail to the space. The new enclosed section gives the homeowners a more intentional outdoor kitchen space. Reoriented Stairs for Better Side-Yard Access

We also improved the transition into the side area of the house by reorienting the stairs. This small design change made a big difference in how the space functions. The new stair orientation creates a more natural path of travel and helps the deck connect better with the surrounding layout of the home and yard. Good deck design is not just about the surface material — it is also about how people move through the space. In this case, adjusting the stairs helped make the entire backyard feel more usable and intentional.
