Trex Select Whiskey Barrel Deck with Acrylite Cover

Wilsonville – This project started as an outdated multi-level deck that was not very practical for everyday use. The existing layout created separated spaces, awkward transitions, and limited functionality for the homeowners and their family.  We redesigned the space by simplifying the structure into one large, covered deck level. The result is a much more usable outdoor living area with plenty of room for relaxing, dining, entertaining, and enjoying the backyard year-round.

Trex Select Whiskey Barrel Decking

For the decking surface, we installed Trex Select Whiskey Barrel decking. This warm, natural-looking composite decking color pairs beautifully with the home’s exterior and gives the space a clean, finished look. Trex Select is a great choice for homeowners who want a low-maintenance alternative to traditional wood decking. Instead of dealing with constant staining, sanding, and sealing, the homeowners now have a composite deck built for long-term performance in the Pacific Northwest climate.

To complete the perimeter of the deck, we installed Trex Select aluminum picket railing. The black railing provides a classic, clean appearance while keeping the deck open and connected to the yard. Because this deck was redesigned into one large level, the railing helps define the outdoor living space without making it feel closed off. The finished look is simple, durable, and timeless.

Acrylite Patio Cover with Cool Blue Heat Stop Panels

One of the biggest upgrades on this project was the addition of an Acrylite patio cover featuring Cool Blue Heat Stop panels. This cover gives the homeowners a more comfortable outdoor space that can be used throughout the year.  The Cool Blue Heat Stop panels help reduce heat while still allowing natural light to pass through, making the covered portion of the deck feel bright and usable without being overly exposed to direct sun.
